Another of the fiddly designs this week.
I started colouring the plants in this postcard first as I was really up for doing ‘sensible’ colours. This changed to me wanting a pink, blue and yellow gazebo because why wouldn’t you?!I do wish that I had coloured the background first in pencil or watercolour as I think it would have made the colours 'pop' a little more. Which was probably why I then went a little overboard with the yellow.
Now that I’ve started planning my time and actually scheduling it out so there’s no excuses for not achieving I am finding these cards more relaxing (at last right?).
Recently The Range opened in Bracknell and I’ve popped in there a couple of times checking out there arts/crafts section… And pretty much everything else in store! All the things I never knew I needed are waiting to be brought *Read ‘Emma WILL bankrupt herself in this store unsupervised.'
I managed to pick up a new colouring book for when I run out of postcards. I have been on the hunt for the ‘right’ book for a while now and this one is perfect for what I want. For now I’ll tell you that it is the ‘100 Designs ZEN Colouring, The Ultimate Collection.’ and that they had a floral book in the same range there (so might pick that up soon too).
|Found it on Amazon for you all.|
But for now it’s back to the postcards, sorry to tease! I will say that if you are a fan of the adult colouring book trend then it’s well worth checking your local stores as The Range surprised me with how many of the colouring books it stocks.
